Gideon’s Transformation House Vision Statement

To provide, promote, prepare and produce Godly men.

G.T.H. Services:

Residents are provided with furnished private rooms. Rooms are equipped with cable TV and locks to prevent theft and promote independence. GTH houses five to seven men, with a communal eat-in kitchen and living area, two communal baths, laundry unit, recreational and meditation room and a learning center area. Some food, toiletries and household items are provided.

All residents have access to a communal phone and internet to promote life skills and educational training.

All residents are subjected to random drug and breathalyzer testing and have a mandatory curfew policy. Residents will participate in mandatory house meetings and bible study. Residents must show proof of weekly attendance of a Christian church institution and three weekly recovery (12 Step) meetings.

G.T.H. Admissions:

Each resident must have previously graduated or completed a state certified rehabilitation institution and show proof of completion certificate, court ordered by an Adult Parole, or are in need of re-entry housing from prison. Residents will do a telephone intake and be scheduled for an application and interview process before entry. Residents must have all required documentation at the time of interview and past a breathalyzer and drug screen test.

Each resident must be employed or show proof of income. Residents will be notified within 48-hours if application has been accepted.

G.T.H. Referral Process:

Residents may be referred by a state certified homeless shelter and must provide a letter of recommendation. Residents may also be court ordered by an Adult Parole Officer or referred for re-entry housing from prison.  Clergyman can also refer residents with two (2) additional letters of support from family members or close friends.

G.T.H. Fees/Income:

There is no application fee and all residents will have two-weeks of pro-rated room and board fee. Residents must be employed at the time of interview and application process. If a potential resident is not employed they must pay the full first month fee after acceptance and show proof of job search. They will have thirty (30) days to obtain employment and work with the resident job coach for fifteen (15) hours a week to obtain employment. All fees are to be paid by the 5th of each month.

G.T.H. Phases:

Phase One 6-12 month Group Living. All residents will be assigned a counselor & life coach. The counselor will promote holistic change, lifestyles free of chemical and substance abuse and committed Christian relationships. The job coach will help the residents in identifying barriers, maintaining employment, accomplishing short and long-term goals and gaining financial responsibility.

Phase Two, Independent Living. After successful completion of phase one, all participants will be promoted to their own apartment unit. Units are based on an individual’s living structure. The independent unit welcomes reconciliation of families. A case manger will be assigned to all residents for accountability and monitoring for one (1) year. Residents will sign a 12 month lease agreement with stipulations and guidelines.

G.T.H. Provides

Group and independent housing for men who are transitioning from recovery programs and homeless shelters.

G.T.H. Promotes

A Christ-centered atmosphere and lifestyle free of chemical and substance abuse, with a strong emphasis on family, community and holistic change.

G.T.H. Produces

Men to return to their families and communities equipped and educated with the necessary tools for generational change (family) and social and economic success (community).

G.T.H. Prepares

Christ-centered men, who are empowered, encouraged, established and empowered with renewed minds and transformed lives.

Gideon’s Transformation House Program Policy

• Must pay all program fees on time.
• No use or possessions of drugs or alcohol.
• Must report loss of employment immediately.
• No involvement in any violent altercations or disputes between residents, where violence is threatened.
• No theft of any kind from any resident or property belonging to Gideon’s House.
• No violation of laws, including city, county or states statues.
• No arrest while a resident at Gideon’s Transformation House.
• No possession of weapons of any kind on property.
• Must be in compliance to all program policies, procedures and rules.
• Must submit to random drug and alcohol testing.

G.T.H. Donations

GTH accepts donations of all kind. Clothes, furniture, appliances, monetary, cars, property and etc, GTH is a 501c3 non-profit organization; so all items donated are tax-deductible and can be schedule for delivery or pick-up.
