Linking Communities to Christ – Centered Services
A Harvest of Hope
Proverbs 3:6
Vision
With every passing year, we are taken from a community focus to a global focus, leaving the community in need. Government focus is no longer concerned with people, but projects, programs, power and perception. They have lost sight of the daily realities of the individual. As neighborhood groups and ministries struggle with insensitive government rules and regulations, apathy, low funding and poor support, the need for their services are growing out of proportion.
Thus we seek to bring holistic revitalization and restoration to the lives of individuals by linking those in need to Christ – centered services.
The MC Thornton Christian Resource Center (MCTCRC) is:
• Here to give expecting only to fulfill the need of others.
• Here to teach at ever opportunity the standards and principles of the Word of God.
• Here to share resources that will support and encourage Christian living.
• Here to provide quality, professional and dedicated service.
• Here to communicate God’s solutions.
• Here for all people. “To be all things to all men that the Gospel may abound.”
Why the name?
It is so named in memory of the Spirit of God in the life of Marzell C. Thornton. He was a present day manifestation of the inspirational lives of the saints in the Book of Acts. The principles and standards that characterized his life will always be the focus of the MC Thornton Christian Resource Center.
Mission
The mission of MCTCRC is to network within the Body of Christ, meeting the needs of individuals with the unconditional love of God by linking communities to Christ – centered services.
Purpose
• Unification of the Body of Christ and the community living out the principles of the Book of Acts. Having all things in common while meeting all needs.
• To live the Gospel so that people are saved.
• To provide the biblical solutions to present day problems and needs.
• To create a places where, in Christ’s love, anyone can come and receive from God, through the Body of Christ, the physical, emotional, professional and spiritual guidance they need.
• To provide a place where gifts and talents can be used to the Glory of God.
• To be light and salt within the community.
• To evangelize, educate, encourage, and empower.
• To glorify our Father, which is in Heaven.
Goal
To unite churches, ministries, Christian businesses and individuals together making their gifts, talents, skills and services available through technology, referrals and networking. We unite to rise to the occasion and address and conquer the social decay, moral erosion and human destruction that we’ve become witness to daily. Empowering the Body of Christ to become the formidable force God intended us to be.
Our Accountability
MCTCRC will be accountable:
• To God first on a per step basis: “the steps of a righteous man are ordered by God”.
• To the church, the board and our ministry partners: through annual reports, periodic updates, praise reports and prayer requests.
• To the community through availability at every opportunity.
Not for the reward of a few,
nor the gain of the masses
but so that God will receive all the
Glory, Honor and Praise!!!
